cancer hazard
Use in areas of the lab where cancer hazards are used and stored.

chemical storage area

Use to indicate non-hazardous chemical storage areas.

corrosive material

Use in areas of the lab where corrosive, flammable and toxic gas hazards are used and stored.

electrical hazard

Use if an a potential electrical hazard exist, i.e. lab has open circuits or exposure wires as a part of lab work of 600 volts or less. Place on the guard of the device not the lab door.

flammable gas

Use if the lab has at least 1/2 the max allowable quantity=2 x 150lb cylinders or more.

flammable solvents

Use in areas of the lab where corrosive, flamable and toxic gas hazards are used and stored.

high voltage

Use if an a potential electrical hazard exist, i.e. lab has open circuits or exposure wires as a part of lab work of more than 600 volts or more. Place on the guard of the device not the lab door.

laser light

Use if lab contains a laser of any class. Class 3B and 4 laser rooms require additional signage and signal lights.

magnetic hazard

Use if the lab has an NMR or MRI.

oxidizer

Place on or near storage cabinet where oxidizing chemicals are stored.

radioactive material

Contact EHS Radiation Safety team for approval before selecting.

reactive

Contact EHS Chemical Safety team for approval before selecting.

toxic chemicals

Place on or near storage cabinet where toxic or poisonous chemicals are stored.

toxic gas

Use in areas of the lab where corrosive, flamable and toxic gas hazards are used and stored.

ultraviolet light

Place on or near areas where UV lights maybe on for prolonged periods for decontamination of disinfection of surfaces.

wear face protection

Place in or near areas were a face guard is mandatory, i.e. liquid N2 pour stations.

wear safety glasses

Use where safety glasses or eye proctection is mandatory 100% of the time in the lab. Contact EHS Chemical Safety team before selecting.

xray radiation

Place where one may be exposed to x-ray radiation -- consult EHS Radiation Safety Team.
